Most makers use a fraction of a millimeter of cedar; Klaro uses 5mm Spanish cedar coaming. Thicker cedar needs more moisture to stabilize during seasoning — but once it does, you get real cedar and real consistency.

For models designed around hermetic-style seals — the Felix Max, Signature, e Cylindor — we also offer a humidity pack subscription. These use glass or plexiglass enclosures with extremely tight seals and less exposed cedar to season, so packs are often the better fit for ongoing maintenance. The subscription keeps the right packs on hand automatically — no reorder reminders needed.

After several years of very satisfactory use of my “octodor”, I developed some bubbling in the laminate finish. Jon, at customer service, was very helpful in selecting the mil black humidor and the smoke can humidor. I originally received a humidor as a gift from my wife. I had issues getting the humidity to stabilize. Any questions or concerns I had were received and responded back to almost immediately. After about a month of communication I was offered an exchange for a new humidor. I’ve had no issues with the new humidor, humidity is holding perfectly and the fit and finish is perfect.

This is by far the best humidor I’ve had. It holds a lot of cigars, is real easy to season, and it has been holding the humidity between 69 and 71. The fit and finish is awesome and I am really impressed with the quality. Very happy with purchase and would recommend to any one looking for a quality humidor.
