Important Notes

• Keep your Luca MAX as close to 70°F as possible. Lower temperatures slow the solution's evaporation; higher temperatures dry the humidor out quickly.
• Never place the humidor in direct sunlight — it rapidly lowers humidity.
• Keep it on a level surface and avoid sudden movements — tilting or jostling a solution humidor can cause it to spill.
• Winter months and dry climates need a little more diligence. Adding distilled water alongside the solution — or switching to the Winter + Dry Climate blend — boosts humidity faster than the regular solution alone.
• We don't recommend Boveda packs. We've tested them extensively in our solution humidors with poor results — Klaro Humidor Solution is what keeps the Luca MAX stable.

A Note on Your Two Solution Bottles

Your Luca MAX includes two bottles of Humidor Solution. The regular blend is ideal for summer and transitional months; the Winter + Dry Climate blend is better for cold winter months and dry climates. If the regular solution isn't holding your humidity high enough, switch to the Winter + Dry Climate blend to boost it. Depending on your season and where you live, you may end up using only one of the two.

Seasoning Your Luca MAX

1. Open the cabinet and remove the Bandeja hidráulica (lift off its lid if one is fitted).
2. Tear open the included Solución de gel packet and evenly distribute the gel crystals across the sections of the Hydro Tray.
3. Slowly pour Klaro Solución humidor over the crystals until they're fully saturated — while seasoning, use the Winter + Dry Climate blend for an extra boost. Allow 6–12 hours for the gel to fully absorb the solution. Out of gel or solution? The Afiliación a Klaro ships a year's supply of Humidor Solution, Winter Solution, and Gel Solution — plus a fresh hygrometer battery.
4. Set the charged Hydro Tray back in the cabinet, keeping it level, and close the doors.
5. Let the cabinet rest until the reading holds above 68% for 1–3 consecutive days. Depending on your climate, this can take up to two weeks. Slow to climb? Lightly dampen a paper towel with solution and gently wipe the inside cedar lining to boost humidity.
6. Check your humidity and fine-tune:
   • 70–75% — you're set; no more solution needed.
   • 65–69% — add a little more Winter + Dry Climate Solution to the tray.
   • Por encima de 75% — leave the tray lid off (or pull the tray) for 24–48 hours, then re-check.
7. Once it holds in the 67–75% range, load your cigars. With cigars stored inside, the optimal range is 65–72%.

After seasoning, rotate your cigars biweekly and refill the Hydro Tray periodically. In the driest months, switch to the Winter + Dry Climate blend.

Calibration

Your Luca MAX ships pre-calibrated from the factory, so in almost every case you'll never need to touch this. Do not recalibrate unless you're certain it's needed.

If you do need to recalibrate:

1. Let the humidor stabilize and confirm it's truly reading 70% on a trusted reference hygrometer.
2. Press and hold the touch-sensitive area on the front fabric for about 5 seconds.
3. The on-unit reading will snap to 70%, setting your new calibration baseline.

Your Luca MAX comes with the Klaro app built in, and it ships with a bridge — so you can check on your humidor's humidity and temperature from anywhere, anytime, right from your phone.

• Monitor from anywhere. The included bridge keeps your Luca MAX connected, so live humidity and temperature are always a glance away — even when you're away from home.
• Keep a journal. Log your collection and track conditions over time with the newly updated in-app Journal.
• Control your lighting. Adjust the LED lighting from your phone with far more freedom than the on-board button.

Using Your On-Board LED Button

Prefer to set your lighting right on the unit? The on-board button handles it — no phone needed.

• Brightness & off: a quick press steps through the brightness levels and then turns the light off.
• Change the color: press and hold for about 3 seconds — the light flashes three times, then begins cycling through the colors. When it lands on a color you like, take your finger off; the light blinks three times to confirm your selection.

How the Proximity Sensor Works

Out of the box, your Luca MAX uses motion sensing to trhigrómetro digital — they wake as you approach and fade out after a stretch with no motion, so the unit sits dark and discreet at rest.

You can set the LEDs to stay always on o always off if you prefer. The front hygrometer stays motion-triggered — that behavior is fixed: it lights up when it senses you and fades again once the room is still.
