5mm Spanish cedar
Most makers use a fraction of a millimeter of cedar; Klaro uses 5mm Spanish cedar coaming. Thicker cedar needs more moisture to stabilize during seasoning — but once it does, you get real cedar and real consistency.

For models designed around hermetic-style seals — the Felix Max, Signatureund Cylindor — we also offer a humidity pack subscription. These use glass or plexiglass enclosures with extremely tight seals and less exposed cedar to season, so packs are often the better fit for ongoing maintenance. The subscription keeps the right packs on hand automatically — no reorder reminders needed.
